The EEA recently announced another server shut-down plan, which officially confirmed that after seven years of operation and more than 50 updates, the Model Life Mobile version will be permanently terminated on 20 January 2026.
By then, coordinating the world time at 13:59 (Beijing time at 21:59), the game will be completely unrunable. Since the offline model was not supported, it would then be completely out of the historical arena. In its bulletin, the developer states: “The Model Life Mover and its player community are always full of creativity, goodwill and imagination. You’re astonishing us through stories, architectural designs and simulations, and we are honoured to travel with you.” During the transition period (i.e. from January to January 2026) prior to the suspension, a series of commemorative events will be launched in the game, with the specific arrangements announced on the EA official network. The final version was released on 20 October, after which the player will not be able to purchase any play-in-the-play or make real currency consumption. Simulated cash, simulators and tickets held will continue to be used until January 2026, when unexpended currency will not support refunds.
This update also unlocks the Unlimited Energy function and helps players speed up the game before the server closes. As of 21 October, the Model Life Mobile version will be installed from application shops, but users who have been installed can continue to play until January 2026. At the same time, EEA announced that, as of 6 January 2026, all players would be given free access to the full content of the construction model and role creation system. “We want every player to build a dream home, design a perfect simulation role, and experience all the great things in the Model Life Mobile version before the server closes.”
EA regularly shut down older servers for a number of reasons, but did not specify the context of the decision-making for this shutdown. Shortly before this information was issued, EA announced that it would sell its shareholdings to investment consortia, including Saudi capital, at a price of $55 billion. It is noteworthy that along with the mobile curtain, EA continues to provide new content for Model Lives 4. As significant gains have been made through the DLC, the company currently has no plans to develop Model Life 5.
